Flowers to plant!

So I've been trying to think about what flowers I would like to plant in the landscaped area that we have in our back yard. I've seen so many pretty flowers, so it's been hard to choose. I know that I am getting ahead of myself considering it isn't even quite spring yet, but that's alright I can dream. At least this way maybe I'll have my mind made up by the time we can plant. Here are a few pictures of Dahlia's that I like that I like, they are such a pretty flower. These beautiful pictures were taken from Ree Drummond's garden, how neat would it be if my garden could look like this! : )

Another flower type that I like is called Indian Blankets, and they are pretty too! But I don't think we have have the area to be able to grow these, maybe one day when we live in the country. I still need to research both of these to see the best place for them to grow, but for now I can dream that one day I'll have a garden full of all of these!

Magnets

Caden loves playing with his magnets on the fridge. This is where he usually is when I am cooking or in the kitchen, taking them down or putting them up he has fun with them. He also has likes to take them off and carry them around the house, so when I'm picking up I tend to find them in the weirdest places. I need to go find some plastic letters or number magnets that he can play with. Within the last week he's been starting to do this funny thing of carrying them in his mouth. He isn't chewing on them just biting and humming while he's walking around the fridge into the hallway. Goofing guy, He must get this from his dad. : )
On a side note, this is one of my favorite shirts that he has. I think he just looks so cute in it, so much like a little man.

Valentines Day Weekend!

We had a great V-Day this year, it kind of lasted all weekend long!
Friday night Caden and I went to go pick up some Famous Daves for supper and when I got back Jacob had snuck a vase of beautiful flowers in our bedroom.
So we ate Yummy BBQ and smelled the pretty flowers. Caden and I made a Strawberry Jello Cake for Dessert that was in the shape of a heart. Caden helped by tasting a piece of the cake to make sure it was safe for daddy to eat. *You know how it goes!!*
Then Saturday I made a yummy Denver omlette and sausage links for breakfast.  Then at Lunchtime my sister and bro-in-law called and invited us to lunch at our favorite mexican restaurant, El Sitio! Nothing Better! Well I guess there is and that would be leftovers for the next day! : )
On Sunday we relaxed and went down to see Pops and Gma. There we had some yummy Chinese and got to check out there new couch which is Awesome!! It is big and super comfy. Perfect to kick back and relax on. So our weekend was full of great food that we have to work off now.
I've been having fun watching my flowers pop open, there were 3 of them that hadn't popped, then Sunday the first one went and yesterday the second one. Now I'm just waiting for the last one to take a final picture. This is what they look like right now.

Falling Asleep

Yay for falling asleep!! So I laid Caden down for nap like I have been doing and when I went to go check on him, he was asleep!! = )  I hadn't heard anything from his room for a while so I thought I would go take a peek. And Surprise! His animals and books are spread all over, and he's sleeping on his side opposite the length of the crib. Hey, it must be comfy. I don't dare go in to cover him up. Maybe this is a beginning to a trend?? Maybe I shouldn't curse myself just yet. All I know is thank-you God for answering prayers! And thanks everyone who has been praying for us, it has been a rough couple months. It's a beginning, and a huge start at that. I am so thankful that he was able to fall asleep by himself. What a nice feeling it is.
Bonus news too, Caden is now only waking up a few times during the night. It seems to be like every other day or every couple days that he only wakes up once during the night! Yay!! I am SOooo..... happy. I feel like celebrating!

Caden's 1st Haircut!

We sat on the big cushion in our living room. Caden played with a letter while I trimmed his hair.
It was just the lower back of his head that needed trimmed, his two sides in the back were growing so much faster than the rest of his head. I trimmed around his ears too. He did so good!!
Here's all the hair I trimmed, and the final picture. We got a treat afterwards for being so good for mommy! The whole time he was just curious to what I was doing,  just a new experience. : )

Freezer Box Fun

We brought the freezer box in and set up downstairs. We made it into a tunnel, which Caden loved! He has been crawling through it and playing in it for the past week! His favorite thing is to be chased into it! He laughs so hard!  As of last night it got retired, he kept trying to push it over and hold on to it when standing up and so it got bent up too much. It wouldn't stand up, so I made it into a triangle. He had fun with that, although he kind of had a confused look to why we weren't chasing him through it. We couldn't fit, unless we army crawled. We had fun while it lasted!
