Mmm.. Dirt.
Caden thought it would be fun to find out what dirt tasted like. Obviously by his face you can tell he didn't like it. Caden was napping, and so I set one of my Jade plants in the sun behind the curtain. When Caden woke up he played in the kitchen while I did dishes. All of a sudden it got quiet, and I looked at him, and he had dirt in his mouth! Yuck! My bad. I forgot to put it up. Needless to say, I don't do that anymore.
Snow Snow Snow
So it's been a while since I have seen this much snow all at once. Jacob was constantly outside scooping. Luckily, we have two Awesome neighbors that came over a couple times to help and they brought their snowblower. We both agreed that next year we will get a snowblower, because this was just crazy. Our house got hounded with drifts. Especially the front driveway and sides of the house. Here are a few pics of the snow.

Reading Books
Caden decided he wanted to read more books before bedtime, like ten more! What can I say, he loves his books. Especially the foam colored ones and his new one that has flaps inside. Everyday he heads over to his book shelf in the living room and pulls out a few books to look at. I'm glad he likes to read!

Caden's Invitation
So I am finally done creating Caden's birthday invitation. Yippie! I decided to go with a fire truck theme, since he loves playing with his little truck so much. I plan to make his little smash cake in to the shape of a fire truck, but who knows, maybe I'll just decorate it on a plain cake. It depends how adventurous I feel the day after Christmas. =)

Starting off to a great Weekend!
Friday night Caden got to go over and hangout with his grandpa and grandma (my parents), which allowed Jacob and I to go out to eat to our favorite mexican restaurant. El Sitio!! If you haven't been there before, you need to go!! They have the best chips & salsa! Yumm-O! It was a nice change to be able to get out with out Caden.
Then today, what a great morning! Jacob and Caden had some guy time at home, which allowed me to be able to get out of the house! It was perfect timing, because I was starting to go a little stir crazy after being cooped up at home for over a week. This little get away was great, I was able to run a bunch of errands and treat myself to a delicious Peppermint Mocha! =) I'm curious to see what will happen tommorow.

Caden's 1st time in the Snow
Caden couldn't wait to go outside. I put his snow suit on and immediately he started crawling towards the stairs. I think he knew that Daddy was outside and he wanted to go play with him.
We had just walked outside and right away Caden had a huge smile on his face. He loved seeing the snow and watching Jacob scoop the driveway. We weren't outside very long due to the wind, but we did watch from the garage for a while.
As soon as Caden sat in the snow he started looking all around him. He kinda sunk into it. He kept trying to grab the snow, but he couldn't. His hands were covered to well.
After Jacob got done shoveling, Caden thought that he would give it a try. The only problem was that he couldn't really pick up the handle, he had to use both hands.
So his first snow experience was a huge success. He loved it! We went out a couple times and each time I would go to get his snow suit he would come crawling to me, like he knew what it meant! =)

Getting the Christmas Tree up
Caden picked out an ornament of his own to put our fake Christmas tree.
He had fun trying to put the little lamb on. He thought the tree was pokey.
Our Christmas Tree
We have the tree downstairs this year, which works out great. Caden doesn't seem to mind it, he'll go up to it and look at it. Sometimes he'll go to touch it and feel the branches, but then keep on crawling by it. He had fun watching me put the ornaments on, he was curious to see what I was doing.

Thanksgiving 2009
So this was Caden's first Thanksgiving, we were able to spend it with both sides of our families. We went to my Mom and Dad's and his Aunt Becca, Uncle Travis and Cousin Evan were there along with my Grandparents from Missouri. I'm so glad that they were able to come down and spend time with him as well as us. Caden had fun playing with them. It was so nice that they were able to see how big he is getting. Then in the afternoon we went to the Messicks, so he was able to see his Pops, and Grandma as well as his Great Grandparents from Pennsylvania. They happened to still be in town so it was great! The Thanksgiving food was amazing, it was fun watching him eat all of it. This was his first time really eating all of the fixings that go along with turkey. He usually eats sweet potatoes and green beans, but not fixed like this yet. He had such excitement in his face, it was like all of his favorite foods at one time! He kept wanting more and more.
